One of the first things you’ll notice about Albuquerque is
its extraordinary commitment to public art. Although New Mexico is known for
its traditional arts, Albuquerque has many pieces of outstanding contemporary
art as part of one of the oldest and best public arts programs in the country.
You’ll notice it as soon as you step off the plane and walk through the
Albuquerque Sunport, which has a huge art collection. Sculptures, murals and
mosaics make Old Town, Downtown and Nob Hill particularly colorful.
