The

Q:
My husgand and I had red chili cheesecake several years ago(governor's ball at a downtown hotel). For years, I have searched for this recipe and I still can't find it. Do you have such a recipe? I hope so. Thank you for your help.
A:
I've been unable to find a recipe, but if I were to experiment with it myself, I might simply try adding a few tablespoons of red chile powder to a plain cheesecake recipe. Also, I'd substitute honey for some of the sugar.

As you can see by the name we are in the restaurant business. So, where do you recommend for dinner while in town for the balloon festival? This is our first time to your beautiful city. Cant wait for your suggestion. Thanks, Nickki and Chef Todd Golden
A:
For a taste of traditional New Mexican food that might inspire you, I'd try the
Church Street Cafe
in Old Town!

Canela is Mexican cinnamon. You can find it at Mexican grocery stores, or online vendors. It has a different, more subtle flavor. I think you'll like it!
