Drink More Water than Margaritas

Tangy margaritas are fantastically refreshing at the end of a long, warm day in Albuquerque. But make sure you drink plenty of water before you kick back with a few cold ones. Although it is commonly believed that drinking alcohol at high altitudes—Albuquerque is at 5,000 feet—gets you more drunk than at sea level research doesn’t back up that belief. But one thing is for sure: It’s easy to get dehydrated here. The air is warm and dry, and you may be doing more walking around outside than you normally do. So fill up your water bottles regularly throughout the day. That’s what I do!
