Q: Will the stores in Old Town be open on July 4?
A: Many of them will be open during the day, but will have shortened hours (closing from 2-4pm). I suggest getting in an authentic Old Town Albuquerque shopping experience during the day while the shops are still open, then enjoying the Freedom Fourth Celebration in the evening with food, live entertainment and a professional fireworks show!

A: Great! There's lots of fun stuff to check out in a day and a half in ABQ. Here are a few leads for you:

Nob Hill: you could spend an entire day shopping in this area alone! Places such as Mariposa offer art, jewelry, and gifts made by local artists; you can find unique home items at Gertrude Zachary; stop for coffee and treats at Flying Star Cafe; hit clothing stores like Toad Road; have a tasty meal at delicious eateries such as Scalo, Brasserie La Provence, and Zinc.

Downtown: try JC's New York Pizza Department for great pizza; Sushi King for a tasty New Mexico roll (green chile tempura inside!); Sumner and Dene for local art and fun gifts; Skip Maisel's for Native American jewelry.
Q: We are looking for Southwestern candlesticks, napkins, pillows etc to finish our desert home. We will have about six hours in ABQ...any suggestions?
