The exhibits designed for the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum will help the visitor see and understand how hot air and gas balloons have been used for adventure, scientific experiments, arts, warfare and the exploration of space.

The exhibit design focuses on intergenerational audiences with topics ranging from the general to the specific, the historic, to the most recent ballooning feats.

The Museum is currently recruiting volunteers to assist with educational programs and special events. Rental space for weddings, banquets, meetings and other events is available. The museum features a spectacular view of the Fiesta Park and the Sandia Mountains.

Visit Casa San Ysidro, the historic house of The Albuquerque Museum, a reconstructed 18th/19th century NM home in the village of Corrales. The adobe house is a prized piece of the past filled with Hispanic folk art, textiles & furniture collections.

Inside Casa San Ysidro, visitors will see one of the most extensive collections of handwoven floor coverings & hand-forged Spanish Colonial iron tools in the United States. Each room is painted with various pigments found in NM's soil, there are 26 inch thick adobe walls & an impressive sala with a church ceiling & a red flagstone floor from Acoma Pueblo. There is no modern heating or cooling.
