With the acquisition of land in 1984, his son Laurent, daughter Nathalie, and Farid Himeur relocated to New Mexico and began planting Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Their first harvest, in 1987, yielded 2,200 cases (released in 1989) of very fine sparkling wine, which immediately captured the delighted attention of consumers and the wine press, and which have subsequently won many gold medals in prestigious wine competitions. As of 2006, Gruet was distributed nationally and produced 100,000 cases of sparkling and still wines.

St. Clair Winery & Bistro, located in the heart of Historic Old Town, the perfect location to enjoy lunch, dinner & a glass of fine NM wine. Come taste a variety of NM wines & enjoy an appetizer while sitting on our patio & listening to live music on Friday & Saturday evenings. While there, visit our extensive retail area featuring over 55 NM wine products, packaged food products, wine bags, & all wine accessories!

Anasazi Fields Winery is located at 26 Camino de los Pueblitos on the western edge of the old village of Placitas between ABQ & Santa Fe. The winery is surrounded by orchards watered by a spring-fed irrigation system dating back over 1000 years to a time when the Anasazi People farmed the Placitas Valley.

We produce fine, dry (not sweet), oak-aged table wines by slow, cool, sugar-starved fermentation of whole NM fresh fruits and berries. In addition we produce two dry grape based wines and an off dry Cranberry wine for the holiday season.
