New Mexico Black History Month Festival Presents: Roots Revival

Roots Revival is an original cabaret that chronicles the journey of African Americans from West Africa to the present in song, dance, and spoken word. On February 3rd, 2012, a cast of A-list local talent spanning five generations will take the stage at the North Fourth Art Center to perform a wide range of musical styles—everything from Broadway show to African drum and dance to poetry slam to soul and R&B. Roots Revival celebrates the Zimbabwean proverb: "If you can walk, you can dance. If you can talk, you can sing."
