Indoor Track & Field Season 2012
The Albuquerque Convention Center is home to world-class indoor
track and field January - February. Click on each event for more detailed
information.
January 20 & 21 Cherry & Silver Invitational
Indoor track & Field meet featuring Academy of Art, BYU, California, Colorado State, Houston, NM State, Portland State, San Francisco State, and UNM. Friday from 5-8pm and Saturday from 10am-4pm.
January 21 Duke City All-Comers
Indoor track and field meet at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Any high school, age-group, masters athlete is able to participate.
The deadline is noon MST prior to the event. Events run from 6-9pm.
January 27 & 28 New Mexico Invitational
Indoor track and field meet featuring Abilene Christian, Academy of Art, NM State, UTEP, UC-Irvine, Cal State-Stanislaus, and UNM. Friday from 5-8pm and Saturday from 10am-4pm.
January 28 New Mexico Open
Any
high school, age-group, masters athlete is able to participate. Athletes can go to www.coachoregistration.com to register before noon MST prior to the event. Events run from 6-9pm.
February 3 & 4 New Mexico Classic
This
collegiate track and field meet is the fourth on the University of New
Mexico schedule. Friday from 9am-9pm and
Saturday from 10am-4pm.
This is one of the highest level indoor collegiate track and field
meets in the nation. The meet will feature some of the best sprinters
and middle distance runners from across the nation. Events are held from
4-9pm.
Indoor track and field meet open to all high school athletes and 2012 will also feature the 1st annual collegiate/open meet. First event starts at 9am.
The University of New Mexico, Colorado State, Air Force
Academy, TCU, University of Utah, UNLV, University of Wyoming, and San
Diego State will battle it out for the Mountain West Conference Indoor
Track & Field titles. Starts at 11am on the 23rd and 24th and 9:30am
on the 25th.
The final event of the Indoor Visa Championship Series, which is a
prestigious series of nationally televised USA Track & Field
competitions featuring the very best track & field athletes competing for a total prize purse of $130,000, the title of National Champion and the opportunity to qualify for Team USA events.. Saturday from 4:30-8pm and Sunday
from 9:30am-4pm. Click
