Large scale ornaments display

Community organizations and artisans have created larger-than-life ornaments that showcase the stories and cultures of Albuquerque. The ornaments, including a six-foot-long chile pepper and a pottery-inspired hot air balloon, will be on display throughout the holiday season at the National Hispanic Cultural Center and the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. Small ornament making workshops will also be held at these sites on weekends in December. Luminarias

The holiday season in Albuquerque means Luminarias. Learn more about how these humble paper sacks adorn rooftops and walkways to light up the holiday season in the heart of the Southwest. Native American Dancing and Pueblo Feast Days

Visit the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center on weekends and enjoy Native American dancing and art deomonstrations, you can also take part in baking bread and making art. The holidays are a wonderful time to visit the neighboring pueblos, many of them hold feast day celebrations in November and December.  See the schedule here.

Dozens of floats, custom cars, marchers and more head down a two-mile route on Central Avenue ending at the Rio Grande Botanic Garden’s River of Lights.

Visitors of all ages can enjoy the dazzling displays of animals, fantastical creatures and much more as they stroll throughout New Mexico’s largest walk-through light show.

December 18. New Mexico Bowl
College football game pits the Mountain West Conference against the Western Athletic Conference. This event will be nationally televised on ESPN.
