Albuquerque – The National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) is proud to present Women & Creativity 2009, a month-long celebration from March 1 - 31 promoting women in the arts. This festival is sponsored by Mark Pardo Salons and runs the entire month of March. In collaboration with over 35 arts organizations, artists, writers, and independent business owners, this celebration features more than 50 events and exhibitions, at various venues throughout Albuquerque and Santa Fe, such as: National Hispanic Cultural Center, 516 ARTS, Georgia O’Keefe Museum, and Harwood Art Center, Explora, and The Lensic Performing Arts Center, as well as many other participating partners.
Events in the Women & Creativity 2009 celebration are filled with renowned musical and comedic performances, workshops, classes, and lectures, all honoring the creative efforts of women in a multi-dimensional manner. This festival encourages public participation on many levels. Similarly, it aims to recognize and celebrate the creative women within our community and the artistic and imaginative spirits within each of us! Ticket prices for NHCC shows will vary by event. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com or in person at the NHCC box office. The NHCC is located at 1701 4th Street SW (Corner of 4th Street and Avenida César Chávez). Fees for venues other than NHCC will vary by location.
