The museum is open June through September.
El Rancho de las Golondrinas, founded in the early 1700's, was a paraje, or overnight stop, on the Camino Real, the royal road from Mexico City to Santa Fe. It has been a living history museum since 1972 with more than 30 buildings on 200 acres.
Costumed "villagers" will tell you about life in Spanish Colonial & Territorial NM, & demonstrates period crafts & lifestyles.
